Section 179 tax savings and bonus depreciation 2024

Thanks to an increase in the Section 179 deduction limit you can now reduce your taxable income even more in 2024! Purchase new or used equipment and place it into service by 12/31/24*

  • Section 179 does come with limits – there are caps to the total amount written off ($1,220,000 for 2024), and limits to the total amount of the equipment purchased ($3,050,000 in 2024).
  • To qualify for the Section 179 Deduction, the equipment purchased or financed must be placed into service between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024.
